What Did the Goldfish Say to the Lobster?
Too busy, can't talk.
A round glass bowl filled with water sat atop the kitchen counter. Across the aisle, a gas flame flickered beneath a large steel pot.
“It’s warming up in here,” said the lobster.
The goldfish swam an effortless lap, his oversized eyes fixed on the pot.
“Hey. Is there anyone there?”
The goldfish stopped and glared indignantly.
“Oh, hi. I have so much to do.” He swam another lap around the circumference of the bowl.
“This water is warming up, but it feels kind of nice, like what?” the lobster asked, genuinely curious.
“I’m writing a book, filing a lawsuit, starting a podcast, and painting a masterpiece.” Another lap.
“The water is heating up. My shell is starting to change color.”
“The book could be about how to get things done.”
“Whoa, the water is getting a little uncomfortable.”
“Maybe we can start a podcast. What do you think?”
“It’s getting really warm in here! Can you help me?”
“Pastels are the better choice. Oils are too much work.” The goldfish blew a trail of bubbles and kept swimming.
“Ouch! It’s really heating up!”
“This bowl is too small for me, and they know it. I’m going to sue them.”
“It’s hot in here!”
The goldfish swam another lap.
“I THINK I AM COOKING!”
“Yes, that’s a great idea. A cookbook.
I’m sorry, I’m really busy right now.
Can’t talk.”

Curious how people read this....did it make you laugh?
I guess to catch one is worth the struggle. One achievement. How many more to go.
